So I took all my seed packets out that I brought with me from California & looked up how to grow them in these parts... looks like they fall into the following catagories:
- start in March/April in greenhouse and plant outside after full danger of frost is over
- plant in ground as soon as you can work the soil
- plant in ground after danger of frost is over
Lots more to learn about the climate here. I'll be asking lots of questions that's for sure.
Alright! It's time to start!
I planted a tray of about 35 different heirloom tomatoes just for fun, densely, because the seeds were pretty old & i'm not sure how they'll germinate. I put them on heat in the greenhouse. I may have shaken up the tray a little bit, though, I'm hoping they won't all migrate over to mislabeled areas!!! Oh well, fun anyway!
