
Today I planted flowers. In a few months when they flower, CSA members can pick-their-own bouquets! Varieties included: Globe Amaranth, Black-Eyed Susan, Calendula, Bachelors Buttons, Cosmos. I seeded a row of sunflowers-- 7 different kinds!

On the right of the picture you can see the row of sad-looking rhubarb we transplanted out of F. We put some water on these guys for the afternoon.
I weeded onions for the rest of the day, using a little rake that you can drag right over the onion plants & scrape away all the little weeds without harming the onion at all. Pretty ingenious if you ask me.
And the mother hen is venturing farther from the coop!
